Eat, Drink and Dine Cairns

Where do I begin there are heaps of restaurants to go and quite a variety from seafood to Thai.

Vegetable lasagne with chips and salad @ PJ’s O’brians $6.50 backpacker meal deal normally costing $13. Menu changes every night so there is always something new to eat. Meal also comes with a glass of beer.

Must be staying or have friends staying at Global central backpackers to receive the coupons for this meal deal.

Another meal deal here in Cairns will be The Pier bar & grill with their $5 pizzas but only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It does get loud and busy here so hope you don’t mind a crowd and a lot of noise. But the music is a great listen so that’s a bonus.

Tolsa’s restaurant in Cairns Central shopping centre on the top floor. But sitting out on the balcony you don’t feel like you are in the shopping centre . Great atmosphere and yummy pasta and the Flat White coffee is marvellous.

Reasonable priced. Found it funny at the cashier they had a tip jar; even though it’s not customary to tip here. And they clearly do not work for their tips; compared to how North Americans work for them.

A relaxed dinner is having a BBQ on the esplanade. All you need to go to woollies (woolworths) and buy what you want to cook and if you share the costs it all works out well.

Also a fun chilling atmosphere outside on the esplanade in Cairns. BBQs are free for the public to use, just be kind and clean up after yourselves.

Want something fancy!? Head on down the esplanade to the Holiday Inn and have Fabian or Hank cook your meal for you – very yummy!

Tastes great and the presentation always looks five star quality.
