End of a Journey, Start of a New

G’day folks, sorry for the absence and quiet. It has been a busy month, and i can not believe the month of January is over – oh how time flies and i only have two more shifts left at Holiday Inn Cairns. It will be sad to leave, everyone is so amazing to have the chance to work and know each one. But life, my life moves on and urges for that next adventure. Great experience to be added onto my CV, Thanks Everyone.

It is that time to say good bye to the Journey and say Hello to a New one. I have lived in Cairns for the past 6 months and I have done heaps, dived and snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef. It was an amazing feeling sitting on the bottom of the ocean, seeing life from another view. From the bottom of the earth, next i have skydived from 15000 ft high up in the sky over Cairns & The Great Barrier Reef. Amazing! I am officially crazy, first jump was 14000ft over the Great Barrier Reef and second jump i went 15000ft. Second time was heaps better and more amazing, to add to the amazement i jumped on Australia Day! What else have  i done; it takes some thinking of remembering because I have done heaps in the past six months. Cape Tribulation/Daintree, Tablelands & Waterfalls; josephine falls sliding down rocks, Crystal cascades finding that hidden spot where tourists do not know, 4WDing with locals, Kuranda, Mission beach; spotting little joeys & kangaroos, cassowaries, hot air ballooning over the tablelands as the sunrises…

Have met so many amazing people from all over the globe, and some that will remain good friends as you always gain while traveling, but some people become more than friends, they become good friends that you keep for ages. From all over the globe which entices you to travel more and to new exciting places to visit; like Germany, Berlin, Ireland… I have no idea what my remaining of the year entails but not knowing leaves that excitement of new beginning and journey.

From Cairns I am off to:

Townsville (staying one night in the Holiday Inn on Employee rate before I can no longer, so i can experience more of Holiday Inn Australasia)

Airlie Beach (to do my 3 day, 2 night Whitsunday tour)

Mackay (to visit a fellow Contiki Friend, main reason to coming to Australia to see my Contiki friends; i just ended up working right away first)

Fraser Island (to do another 4WD tour)

Noosa (to feed dolphins)

Coffs Harbour (to see more of this beautiful country)

Sydney (Bridge Climb. And I do not know how long I will be here, time will tell while visiting more Contiki Friends)

Melbourne (to visit some more Contiki Friends and possibly find work at the Intercontinental IHG hotel)

That is what my tentative plan consists of right now; we will see how well it does staying on track. I will try and leave a blurb from each stop, while i have time to kill on the Greyhound Australia. Woot! free WiFi on the bus. Now to find a career in Travel Blogging…
